Primex Handles the Pressure of Today’s Logging Equipment

Compare a logging operation of today with those of the not-so-distant past and one thing is obvious—the machines on site have grown considerably in both size and power. While the need to increase operational productivity and efficiency is driving the adoption of larger, more powerful equipment, it is also presenting new challenges. Luckily, there’s a simple step operators can take to overcome these challenges and make the most of their tires (and, subsequently, their machines): check tire air pressure frequently.

Power Hop: Fixing a Problem that Plagues High-Horsepower Tractors

Farm tractors continue to evolve—getting larger and more powerful, for example—in order to help farmers increase operational efficiency and productivity. Although the use of massive tractors on modern farms allows for more work to be done, in less time, it has also created new challenges that threaten to negate the advantages offered by these titanic tractors. One of the most notable challenges with today’s high-horsepower tractors is power hop.

Tire Tales: High Load Index Tires for High Yields

We love learning how our dealers help customers use our application-specific AG tires to solve problems on the farm. Some of the unique solutions our dealers come up with are so great that we feel compelled to share them. Our latest tale comes from Graham Tire in Minnesota, where a tire with a higher load index was used to help a customer reduce the soil compaction and rutting their sprayer was causing.

Pressure for Profit on the Farm

Today’s agricultural machines are marvels of versatility—they can travel safely on the road, carry enormous weight, and work in the field while causing minimal soil compaction. However, often overlooked is how something as simple as tire pressure can affect everything from your equipment’s performance to your bottom line.

Row Spacing and Its Effect on Tires

Ask any long-time farmer what the secret to running a successful operation is and you’re sure to get a multitude of answers—but the underlying theme you’ll discover is the maximization of resources. For today’s farm to flourish, it's vital that they make the most of all of their assets, from dollars and manpower to the soil beneath the sun. One way farmers are increasing efficiency is with narrow row spacing, which allows them to intensify management of two limited resources: the land and the sun. And to keep up with changing practices like narrower row spacing, new innovative tires are being developed to help farmers reduce the impact of their machinery on the land while keeping their farms sustainable.
